Rhonda has been a certified Red Cross instructor and authorized provider for eight years, since the founding of Certified First Aid. Her formal education consists of an Early Childhood Education Diploma and a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Rehabilitation.
She has completed her Masters Degree in Education. In addition to teaching through Certified First Aid, she presently instructs Early Childhood Education courses at Mount Royal College.
Rhonda's energy and passion for teaching is readily apparent. The courses are designed to ensure participants are comfortable and attain the knowledge to feel confident in offering assistance in an emergency situation.
Kendra has been a Certified Red Cross Instructor for 2 years. She is no stranger to the teaching profession, having spent 10 years as a Physical Education and Mathematics high school teacher. Teaching in the high school setting has taught Kendra to be adaptable and flexible, having experienced a variety of situations in her years in the classroom.
Kendra completed her Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Lethbridge and began her teaching career in Rockyview School Division. She brings her knowledge and expertise of the teaching profession to Certified First Aid.
Kendra shares her excitement for learning and provides participants with the knowledge and skills to feel confident in an emergency situation.

Melany Walz
Melany has been a certified Red Cross First Aid and CPR Instructor since 2010 and has been teaching for Certified First Aid since receiving her instructor’s certificate. Besides being a busy stay at home mom of two young girls, Melany also runs a part-time dayhome. Her formal educational consists of a Legal Assistant Diploma.
Melany is enthusiastic and passionate about teaching First Aid. Our courses are fun, interactive and non-intimidating and are designed to ensure participants gain the knowledge to feel confident should they find themselves in an emergency situation.
As a Flight Attendant, Kareene has had the amazing opportunity to discover diverse cultures from around the world. Her travels extend from the South Pacific to Eastern Europe. Due to her flying career, Kareene has been fortunate to have lived in many cities throughout Canada and appreciates what our beautiful country has to offer. She now makes Calgary home with her husband, two sons and two dogs.
Kareene has embarked on a new career path which is teaching First Aid. Her zest and passion for life transcends while teaching these courses. She truly believes in the importance of life saving skills and enjoys teaching these valuable skills to others.

Lisa Sinclair
Lisa has been a certified Red Cross instructor since 2010. Her formal education consists of a Degree in Communications Studies and a Diploma of Nursing. She has been a Registered Nurse since 1995.
In addition to teaching through Certified First Aid, she presently works as a nurse in the emergency room at the Alberta Children's Hospital.
She has 13 additional years of adult nursing experience in neurosurgery/general neurology as well as 5 years as a Clinical Trials Nurse Coordinator for Stroke Research with the Southern Alberta Stroke Team through the University of Calgary.
Lisa's knowledge and depth of experience with adults and children give her the ability to customize her Red Cross Standard first aid courses to specific groups.
